Kyle O’Reilly has signed with All Elite Wrestling two weeks after his WWE contract expired.

The former NXT superstar reunited with his Undisputed Era teammates Adam Cole and Bobby Fish on AEW Dynamite last night after plenty of speculation about his future plans.

He tweeted: ‘Life is crazy and I’m very grateful that my professional wrestling abilities have taken me to a new frontier in which to explore my ass-kicking ways. Proud to be apart of @AEW and thanks to @TonyKhan for the opportunity.

‘If you’re a fan of mine from elsewhere I hope you continue to support me. If you’re new to KOR prepare to see a man that pours his f’n soul into that ring every night and has an unquenchable thirst for cans of whoop ass.

‘Also, reDRagon is back!!! (sic)’

Boss Tony Khan confirmed the signing, and admitted he is ‘amazed’ he managed to pull off a reunion with three of the four members of Undisputed Era – the fourth being Roderick Strong, who still holds the Cruiserweight Title in WWE NXT.

Khan wrote: ‘I’m still amazed that we were able to reunite @AdamColePro + @theBobbyFish + @KORcombat tonight on #AEWDynamite; it doesn’t seem like it should’ve been possible, still doesn’t feel real. The only reason it was possible was because of you great fans supporting @AEWonTNT! Thank you’.

The big moment came at the end of the evening’s opening match, as Adam Cole fought Orange Cassidy in an epic contest even before the surprise.

Bobby Fish provided a distraction as O’Reilly hit the ring and attacked Cassidy, which gave Cole the win.

The trio – who weren’t referred to as Undisputed Era on air – attacked Best Friends, and then walked out as the Young Bucks looked confused.

Veteran commentator Jim Ross – who is currently undergoing treatment for skin cancer – responded to the news AEW has signed Kyle, and he’s delighted to have him on board.

He tweeted: ‘Great get for @AEW Love @KORcombat’s game……authentic badass…naturally nasty’.

Kyle replied: ‘Thanks Jim, happy to be part of the team. Heal up quick!’

*AEW Dynamite airs Wednesday nights at 1am on Fite TV.
