Adam Page is the new AEW World Champion

On the eve of the event, Adam Page had promised all AEW fans and insiders that he would win the title held by Omega, beating him at Full Gear and he did. On the emotional wave that only the AEW public was able to give, towards the end of the match Page unfortunately hit the referee of the contest with his devastating Lariat, pushed by Omega.

After knocking out the referee, Don Callis and the Young Bucks obviously also became protagonists of the match, with Callis being immediately KO'd by Page and Omega having first suffered his own finisher by the future champion and then the Devastating Lariat that cost him the match.

Moral of the story, thanks to his devastating Buckshot Lariat, cowboy Adam Page has graduated as the new AEW champion, with the Young Bucks who at the end of the match also made an unexpected nod to Page, letting him hit once again a lifeless Kenny Omega, who has thus suffered all the anger and the outburst of the new AEW champion, after weeks of harassment.

The opening moments of the match went in Darby Allin's favor but his recklessness soon gave MJF the opening he needed. Allin fought his way back to his feet with a boot to the jaw but MJF took him back down with a nasty looking backbreaker.

Every time it looked like Darby Allin was about to get back in it, MJF took him back down. Darby was still kept trying to fight his way back, this time Friedman hit a powerbomb into his own knee. MJF started to favour his knee but got up and hit Darby in the face, who kept asking for more.
