Professional wrestling legend and two times WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair who is also a former sixteen times World champion recently talked about the possibility of him joining the All Elite Wrestling. He denied all the rumors of him possibly joining the promotion.

Ric Flair is a former sixteen times World Champion as recognized by WWE. He is a legend of professional wrestling who has wrestled in all over the world including WWE and WCW. As AEW was bringing almost everyone available to their promotion, Flair was a potential name to be joining the promotion according to rumors too.

Ric Flair Denies Rumors Of Joining AEW

Tony Khan is a business tycoon who is currently the co Owner of the All Elite Wrestling as mentioned above. His father Shahid Khan is also the owner of the famous NFL team Jacksonville Jaguars. Shahid Khan is also the owner of the world famous English football team Fulham.

Without any doubt, AEW is currently the biggest competition of WWE. They have signed some of the biggest names in the world of professional wrestling today. Most awaited return in professional wrestling has to be the return of CM Punk, which WWE failed to offer the fans but but AEW made The Impossible dream possible.

This is not the first time a professional wrestling promotion is giving competition to WWE. There were a lot of professional wrestling promotion that were competitions of WWE before. Promotions like WCW, ECW and TNA Wrestling, all were rivals of WWE at a time. But WWE was able to beat them all. But it would not be very easy for them to surpass AEW.

Ric Flair who is also a former sixteen times World champion recently spoke on his “Wooooo Nation Uncensored” podcast where he talked about the possibility of him joining the All Elite Wrestling. He denied all the rumors of him possibly joining the promotion. He said;

“No. There were no discussions at all. I told Vince McMahon that my word is pretty much my bond unless they did something really stupid to me, then I would never go to work for the competition. Now they’ve done some really stupid stuff, so that door is open, but I have not talked to Tony (Khan).

“I have not heard a word from him. I watch all the shows. I appreciate the athletes and the people that are involved in it, but I’m not actively in discussion with anybody. Yes, I would go to work for Tony Khan. I will never go back to WWE.”
