CM Punk Pays Homage To Britt Baker After Dynamite Goes Off The Air (Video) - TheSportster

CM Punk addressed his hometown crowd when this week's Thanksgiving Eve edition of AEW Dynamite went off the air ... and he did it in Britt Baker's jacket.

It all went down at the Wintrust Arena in Punk's hometown of Chicago, Illinois on Wednesday, November 25. When Dynamite went off the air, the November 25 edition of AEW Rampage was taped, but the show didn't end went the taping was over. After the final Rampage match, AEW president Tony Khan and hometown hero CM Punk came out to send the crowd home happy.

Inexplicably, Punk was wearing Britt Baker's jacket, which was a little snug.

The only thing I can really say that means the most is from the bottom of my heart, thank you very much,” Punk said to the Chicago crowd. “It’s still surreal and still very, very good to be in front of the best professional wrestling fans in the world.”

Shortly afterward, Bake took to Twitter to ask for her jacket back.

"Ok for real give it back," the AEW Women's Champion tweeted.

It wasn't the first time Punk referenced Bake that evening. During the opening segment of Dynamite, Punk informed MJF that Baker had replaced him as one of the four pillars of AEW alongside Darby Allin, Jungle Boy, and Sammy Guevara.

As you might recall, Punk made his AEW debut in Chicago and referenced Britt Baker during his first promo. "You really know how to make a guy feel like Britt Baker in Pittsburgh," Punk said to the crowd, comparing the reception he was receiving to the one Baker received in her hometown of Pittsburgh the week prior.

So I am in the back at the screen watching as a fan, watching CM Punk and he says my name, I am like ‘Did everybody hear that?’ I mean it’s so cool. Sure, we share the stage and we are both stars but that’s somebody that I was a fan of. So that’s a very very cool feeling as a wrestler, as a wrestling fan, for someone you idolize to say your name,” Britt said of the moment during an interview with ESPN.
