Bryan Danielson Admits He Needs To Wrestle Fewer Matches In AEW - Ringside News

Bryan Danielson’s accolades as a professional wrestler certainly need no introductions as they proved to be one of the best in the business. He spent several years working in WWE as one of their top stars and towards the end of his run, Bryan Danielson was even part of WWE Creative. It seems Bryan Danielson is also well aware of his own limitations.

Danielson’s debut in AEW is considered one of the most impactful debuts in recent memory as well. Danielson had previously mentioned his desire to wrestle in other pro wrestling companies and that’s exactly what he did in the end.

Bryan Danielson brought back his ‘American Dragon’ persona while competing in AEW. It has featured him delivering more stiff shots and having a more explosive and violent move set compared to his WWE days.

While speaking to WEEI in Boston, Bryan Danielson explained the changes he made inside the squared circle. Danielson also admitted that he needs to wrestle fewer matches now due to his tendency to go hard in each match.

“I’m a little more judicious, but, realistically, the big thing that has changed, and this was a choice when I re-signed my last WWE contract and when I came to AEW, and one of the benefits of AEW, is that I need to be doing less matches because I like to go hard. If you tell me, ‘Go a little bit lighter today,’ it’s easy to say but in practice it doesn’t work like that. I don’t care if there are 20,000 people like at Arthur Ashe Stadium or if there are 85 people, and I’ve wrestled in front of less than a 100 people many times, the people still pay their money to see the show and you want to give them a great show. It’s hard for people like me to pull back. Really, it’s about doing a less number of matches per year and focusing on the quality of those matches and making sure I give the live crowd something they are happy they paid their money to see

Earlier this month Bryan Danielson had a tremendous match against NJPW legend Minoru Suzuki. Bryan Danielson, later on, admitted that he was all beat up after the match. It remains to be seen how long Danielson will be able to work at the rate that he is currently going in AEW.
