JOSH WARRINGTON's rematch against Mauricio Lara was STOPPED as a technical draw after Lara's cut saw the fight end in a no contest.

A nasty clash of heads in the second round meant the fight ended in a frustrating draw in front of Warrington's home crowd in Leeds.

Eddie Hearn said after he will try and get Warrington out again as soon as possible, with Lara's eye cut set to keep the Mexican on the sidelines.

    Josh Warrington is gutted with how the fight ended, especially for the fans who paid to see him get redemption.

    He told DAZN: "All these people wanted to see me get redemption tonight.

    “I thought I opened him up with a punch in the first round, but a clash of styles, my head hit him.

    “I'm absolutely gutted.”

    Are we heading for a third fight?

    But Warrington is one step ahead and dodges everything Lara throws at him.
