Update On AEW Ticket Sales As Touring Returns This Week

AEW Dynamite

15 difficult months finally come to an end for All Elite Wrestling this week, as the promotion returns to touring following a lengthy residency at Jacksonville, Florida's Daily's Place amphitheatre enforced by the COVID-19 pandemic's onset last March.

The Tony Khan-helmed promotion begins by heading to Miami for this week's episode of Dynamite. Per Dave Meltzer in a recent Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online Daily Update, AEW has currently sold around 3,200 tickets for the event, meaning it will likely fall short of the 3,900 it shifted the last time it held an event in the city.

In more encouraging news, the 14 July tapings in Cedar Point, Texas will likely become the post-pandemic era's first sellout (for any promotion), with Ticketmaster listing only five remaining tickets at the time of writing.

Things are also looking healthy for 28 July in Charlotte, North Carolina. AEW has currently sold approximately 4,400 for that one, which is an improvement on the last time the company held a show there (6 November 2019).

Additionally, that Dynamite taping has sold more tickets than the WWE Supershow schedule for the same city on 14 August.
