Ever since fans made their way back to the arena, the management had made many subtle changes to the weekly programming. The pyros are back, and many legendary wrestlers made their return.

It’s great that WWE is looking for more and more ways to feed the fans. Maybe, it is because of their unwanted competition from All Elite Wrestling aka AEW which has been drawing pretty good numbers every week.

Speaking with Dan Gelston of The North State Journal, Paul Levesque talked about how he is grateful to the “digital fans” era and how much they mean to the wrestling business.

The programming has changed the sets and graphics on SmackDown and Raw, Jeff Hardy’s ‘No more words’ is back after massive fan demands all over the internet.

“It never is one thing, we see this as a moment in time to shift everything. I think you’ll see it in just the layout of everything, the set designs, the way it’s presented. There’s a greater emphasis on utilizing the spaces that we have and the TV aspect of it while still engaging the fans. A lot of that comes from the time we had to experiment inside the ThunderDome,” said Paul.

WWE has surely increased their viewership with last week’s live events and the Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

Is Triple H concerned about AEW slowly catching up?

For decades, there had been no actual competition to WWE ever since WCW died in the early 2000s. There were different wrestling promotions, but no one even came close to a scratch.

Ever since its inception in 2018, AEW caught up really fast with the major promotion. Many superstars jumped ships to WWE’s competition citing exciting contracts and creative control.

It’s a good time to be a wrestling fan watching these two promotions out-doing themselves week after week.
