Dupasquier in 'serious condition' after Moto3 accident

Jason Dupasquier has been hospitalised and is in a serious condition after a crash in qualifying for Moto3's Italian Grand Prix.

The incident took place at Mugello's ninth turn, when Dupasquier was rammed into by Ayumu Sasaki, with the latter being suspended into the air. Jeremy Alcoba was also caught up in the collision.

A lot is still unknown about the Swiss' condition at the moment, but there was a lot of fear as his body lay in the middle of the track. As other drivers passed, some even appeared to make contact with him.

"It happened very fast," Alcoba told DAZN.

"There was something blue in the middle of the track. It was all very fast.

"Suddenly, we saw the red flag. It was right there. Right where it couldn't be seen."

Sasaki himself spoke about the incident, and he was surprised as well.

"I was getting better but someone fell in front of me," Sasaki said.

"He suddenly went to the track and I couldn't avoid him.

"I feel some pain, especially in one foot. It's not broken though. I think I can walk."

Adblock test (Why?)
