AEW celebrated Hikaru Shida tonight during AEW Dynamite. Shida carried the AEW Women’s World Title throughout the pandemic. Then she got to celebrate in front of fans. She also got to cut a promo on a live microphone to address those live fans.

Hikaru Shida came out to celebrate one year as champion. The company also introduced a new title belt in the process. Hikaru Shida was champion through a very difficult time, and now she is keeping that title she held.

AEW’s new Women’s Title looks about the same, but it’s a bit larger. We’ll have to see if Shida will be able to retain that title against Britt Baker at Double or Nothing this Sunday.

Do you think Britt Baker is winning the new AEW Women’s World Title at Double or Nothing? Sound off in the comments!

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
