Tyson Fury tweet hints at three-day deadline to agree Anthony Joshua fight

The controversial boxer continues to stir up trouble on social media.

Tyson Fury has hinted that there are just three days to finalise a deal for his fight with Anthony Joshua.

The WBC champion is set to take on Anthony Joshua after signing a contract for a two-fight deal that will decide the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Eddie Hearn told Ak & Barak on DAZN that he hoped to give both fighters the choice of venue this week, after he has been visiting different locations in order to secure the best deal.

ESPN have run a story suggesting that a deal is contingent on a site being agreed, which may explain Fury’s tweet, with a source saying: “We have 30 days from the signing, or the deal could go away.”

Fury posted a message saying: “3 days left the clock is ticking tick tock tick tock” which would fit with Hearn’s statement that this week would see a site being proposed, if not chosen.

This is not the first disruptive message from Fury in the build-up to the fight, with the boxer previously suggesting he had given up training and was instead drinking pints of Guinness every day.

With some reports suggesting that each fighter could earn £100 million from a deal, it seems unlikely that Fury will fail to eventually agree to fight Joshua this summer.
