Kevin Holland vs. Martin Vettori is new UFC on ABC headliner

Kevin Holland wanted to get the stench of his loss to Derek Brunson in the worst way. He secured the opportunity quicker than most expected.

The No. 10-ranked middleweight took to Twitter on Thursday to confirm he will be replacing Darren Till and taking on No. 6-ranked Marvin Vettori in the main event of UFC on ABC in nine days on Saturday, April 10, from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Earlier in the week, Till revealed that he would have to be pulling out of the fight with Vettori due to suffering a broken collarbone. Holland jumped right at the opportunity and took to social media to declare he'd be willing to step right in and face Vettori.

It took a little bit of time but Vettori signed on the dotted line to make the fight official.

Holland (21-6) fought 12 days ago in his first UFC main event, losing to Brunson in a lackluster performance that was critically panned to snap his five-fight winning streak.

After losing a close fight to current middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in April 2018, Vettori (16-4-1) has reeled off four consecutive wins, most recently a dominant unanimous decision win against fellow contender Jack Hermansson in his first UFC main event back in December.
