WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS (3/8/2021)

This week's show kicks off with a video recap of Bobby Lashley's victory over The Miz to capture the WWE Championship. After the video wraps up, we shoot live inside the ThunderDome where the commentary team welcomes us to the show.

From there, we shoot backstage where we see The Hurt Business walking through the hallways as they arrived to the venue earlier today. Each member dressed to the nines in suit and ties.

A WWE interviewer approaches them and asks Bobby Lashley for a comment. He talks about last week being 16 years in the making and addresses The Miz's rematch tonight being an opportunity for him to set an example to the rest of the locker room, as he can show everybody what happens when you step into the ring with him and try and take what he spent 16 years to get.

Lashley raises the title and looks directly into the camera and says, "The Almighty Era has begun." This ends the segment and now we head back into the ThunderDome.

The Miz Addresses Tonight's WWE Championship Rematch

"I came to play...." blasts out of the house speakers in the ThunderDome where "The Most Must-See Superstar" makes his way down to the ring accompanied by John Morrison. The two settle into the ring and The Miz's theme music dies down.

He talks about not feeling well last week and being unfairly forced to compete anyways. He claims after working year after year after year without taking a vacation or missing any appearances, everyone should take his word for it when he says he's not feeling well. He reiterates his claim about having stomach cramps last week.

The Miz goes on for a few more moments about the circumstances surrounding him losing the title to Lashley last week. He brings up his rematch tonight. He claims tonight the hash-tag will be "#AndNew" because he's The Miz, and he's awesome.

The Miz vs. Bobby Lashley (c)

After The Miz finishes his catchphrase, his music hits again and the commentators switch gears as the camera shot changes to show Lashley, now in his wrestling ring attire and with the WWE Championship wrapped around his waist, making his way through the backstage area towards the entrance area.

The graphic for the WWE Championship rematch between Miz and Lashley airs as the commentators take us into a pre-match commercial break. The WWE Championship rematch between Lashley and Miz is up next.

We're back from the break and we see a big graphic that reads, "ALL MIGHTY" in gold with Bobby Lashley's freakish muscle pose accompanying it while the theme plays for the new WWE Champion. Lashley emerges on the entrance ramp and begins making his way down to the ring with MVP following behind him.

Lashley poses on the top-rope as pyro explodes on all four corners of the ring. The bell sounds and the ring announcer begins his formal pre-match introductions for this championship affair. Our opening contest is about to get underway now. The bell sounds and we're off-and-running with tonight's first bout of the evening.

As soon as the bell sounds we see Lashley close in on The Miz, only for The Miz to hit the mat and roll out to the floor to avoid him. He rolls back in and does the same thing, only this time he rolls out near MVP, so he back-steps and Lashley reaches over the ropes and grabs him by the hair. He brings him back in the ring and hits a big suplex.

We see a shot of Drew McIntyre watching the action unfold in the ring from a monitor in a locker room backstage. Back in the ring, Lashley is still dominating the action, however Miz side-steps him as he was charging in and the champ smashes his shoulder into the steel ring post. Out on the floor, Miz follows out after him, however Lashley turns him inside-out with a big cloithesline. Afterwards, we head to a mid-match commercial break.

We're back from the break and we see "The All Mighty" one is still in firm control of the action. Lashley catches Miz with one arm, tossing Miz across the ring. We see Drew McIntyre looking on intently from the backstage area on a monitor once again. The match heads to ringside as Lashley continues to dominate the match, eventually rolling Miz back into the ring.

MVP shouts at Lashley to not let Miz disrespect him! Miz grabs the top rope, sending Lashley to the outside of the ring. Miz flies through the ropes, Side Step by Lashley. The Hurt Lock is locked in! The Miz taps again. Lashley retains the WWE Championship by way of submission victory in tonight's opening match.

Winner by submission and STILL WWE Champion: Bobby Lashley

Backstage: Drew McIntyre Is Attacked By Sheamus

We return from another quick break and after the commentators mention an update on WrestleMania tickets going on sale next week for the two-night event this coming April, we see Drew McIntyre backstage with a WWE broadcast team member.

"The Scottish Warrior" talks about the cowardly acts he has been the victim of as a result of Lashley and The Hurt Business. As he goes on to address him directly, he is ambushed and attacked from out of nowhere by Sheamus.

Sheamus launches McIntyre into a bunch of production equipment near by and then puts the boots to him. He gets down in his face and tells him things between them are far from over.

He walks off as McIntyre recovers and goes on a rampage, throwing the equipment he was launched into all over the place in frustration. On that note, we head back to another commercial break.

Drew McIntyre Demands No DQ Match With Sheamus Tonight

We return to see a replay of what just happened between McIntyre and Sheamus and then we shoot live backstage where McIntyre is still on a rampage.

"The Scottish Warrior" storms through the hallways and runs into Adam Pearce. He tells him not to say a word and then demands a no disqualification showdown against "The Celtic Warrior" later in the show. Pearce obliges and McIntyre storms off.

R-Truth's Poem & Men In Black Treatment To Braun Strowman

The commentators introduce a video package showing what went down on Raw recently where Shane McMahon cost Braun Strowman a big opportunity.

After the package wraps up, we see "The Monster Among Men" walking through the hallways backstage when he is approached by R-Truth. Truth tells Strowman everything is okay and then reads a poem to him.

Truth talks about Space Jam references and then goes on to make a number of apologies as his poem. Strowman ends up cutting him off and says he doesn't apologize for anything. He says he's about to go out there and demand that Shane McMahon apologize to him.

R-Truth says then in that case, this never happened. He says he's only a "fragment" of Strowman's imagination. He puts on a pair of black shades and pulls out some toy that makes clicking sounds and pretends to use it like the mind eraser thing from the Men In Black movies.

We head back to a commercial break as Strowman continues making his way towards the ring.

No DQ Match Is On For Tonight

We're back from the break and we see a graphic flash on the screen as the commentators confirm that we will, in fact, be treated to the No Disqualification Match between Drew McIntyre and Sheamus tonight after "The Scottish Warrior" requested it from Adam Pearce in a backstage segment moments ago.

Braun Strowman Demands An Apology From Shane McMahon

From there, Braun Strowman's music hits and "The Monster Among Men" makes his way down to the ring to make his demand of an apology from Shane McMahon that he referenced before we went to the break.

Strowman brings up Shane giving him a Raw Tag-Team Title match and choosing Pearce as his partner. He rants for a moment and then asks if Shane thinks he's a joke. He says they both know that Braun could snap his neck like a twig if he wanted to. He demands his apology right now.

Shane's music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Shane-O-Mac gets right in Strowman's face immediately and the two stare each other down. Shane then simply lifts his microphone up, says, "I'm sorry," and walks off as his music plays again. He stops briefly like he wants to say something else, but continues walking. Strowman asks if Shane has something else to say. He throws his hands up. The segment ends on that note.

No Disqualification
Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre

We see another replay of Sheamus attacking McIntyre earlier in the show and then we see "The Celtic Warrior" in his ring gear walking down the hallway towards the ring. The No DQ match is up after the break. On that note, we head back to commercial.

We return from the break and Sarah Schreiber catches up with Shane McMahon backstage and asks for a comment on what just happened with he and Strowman. Shane doesn't have much of anything to say and he walks off.

Now we shoot back inside the ThunderDome where Sheamus' music hits. As he makes his way to the top of the entrance stage, he is immediately attacked from behind by McIntyre. Drew beats Sheamus all the way down to the ring and once he rolls him into the ring, we hear the bell sound to officially start this no disqualification match.

McIntyre with multiple blows to Sheamus, powering him into the corner. Sheamus runs the ropes, then hits a forearm taking down McIntyre. McIntyre takes Sheamus down again. The action spills out to the floor where Sheamus uses a kendo stick as a weapon to take control of the offense.

"The Celtic Warrior" continues to dominate the action at ringside, however Drew starts showing signs of life and begins fighting back. We see some more weapons get involved in the action, such as the steel steps and the commentary table.

McIntyre notices the kendo stick that was used on him earlier and now he grabs it. Back in the ring, Drew finally blasts Sheamus with the kendo stick and then hits him with it again and again. He uses it to assist him in a Russian leg-sweep. He goes for a pin, but Sheamus kicks out before the count of three. Drew blasts him with a few more kendo stick shots as Sheamus heads out to the floor to try and get away from the onslaught.

As the action hits the floor again, Sheamus shifts the offensive momentum back in his favor after he catches Drew coming at him and sends him into the steel ring post with authority. Drew fights back as we head to a mid-match commercial break as the brawl continues in this No DQ match outside the ring.

As we return from commercial break, the commentary team notes that both men are using the "No Disqualification" stipulation to their advantage as the match continues with more brutality in and out of the ring, including the use of a steel chair.

The action returns inside the ring where Sheamus connects with The Clover Leaf in the center of the ring, attempting to take McIntyre out on that note via submission. McIntyre maneuvers into a position to begin throwing strikes, forcing "The Celtic Warrior" to release the hold.

Now we see both men back on their feet where we get a big Spinebuster by McIntyre followed by a cover, but Sheamus kicks out at two. Back up, Sheamus heads to the top-rope. McIntyre meets Sheamus on the top turnbuckle, throwing Sheamus's arm over his shoulder and hitting a big superplex off the top for a near fall.

The crowd pops after that spot. McIntyre stares up at the WrestleMania sign, then returns with a knee strike on Sheamus. White Noise by Sheamus for the cover, but McIntyre kicks out at the two. Sheamus looks shocked that Drew is still in this one.

Sheamus exits the ring and grabs a steel chair from next to the announcers table. McIntyre is on his knees, as Sheamus lifts the chair above his head, McIntyre blocks, forcing Sheamus to drop the chair. McIntyre then hits Sheamus with his own weapon. Future Shock DDT into the steel chair for the cover, but Sheamus kicks out at two. The crowd is going crazy at this point as both men struggle to their feet to continue the match.
