WWE Legend and Hall of Famer Ric Flair discusses who he believes are the greatest ever female wrestlers of all time.

Ric Flair is considered by many as the greatest ever to take to the squared circle. His daughter Charlotte Flair seems to be following in her footsteps. Like her father, she already has several titles to her name. in fact, she’s the only woman to win the Raw Women’s Championship, the SmackDown Women’s Championship, the retired Divas Championship and the NXT Women’s Championship.

Charlotte is also the 4th woman after Asuka, Bayley and Sasha Banks to complete the Grand Slam and the third woman to win the Royal Rumble. All these accolades are enough for Flair to classify her as the greatest women’s wrestler of all time.

Charlotte, I’ve said it right on TV. She’s the greatest female wrestler of all time,” Flair told Fox Sports. “I’m qualified to say that because I’ve seen ‘em all. I wish she would get the credit she deserves.”

When asked who else does he see alongside his daughter, Flair had two names in mind.

“Without hurting anybody’s feelings,” only two names come to mind; SmackDown Women’s champion Sasha Banks and Raw Women’s champion Asuka.”

“I give Sasha Banks all the credit in the world,” Flair said. “She’s a working fool. I mean, she is. She is that good.

“I’d put Asuka right there, too,” he continued. “But people are going to say, ‘Well, she’s not colorful enough.’ Right? In terms of technical skills, Asuka’s right there. Don’t let me leave her off. People are going to go, ‘She’s not colorful enough. She doesn’t speak English.’ Which is bulls— … The three of them are right there, boy.”

As mentioned before, both Asuka and Sasha Banks are part of the illustrious grand slam list. Like Charlotte, both women have several accolades to their name.

Asuka has won every title available to her in the WWE. She also has the Mixed Match Challenge, Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank wins apart from being the sole survivor on her Survivor Series debut.

The WWE released their own list of the greatest Women’s matches of all time back in 2018. Sasha Banks was featured 4 times in the top 5 on that list. She is also the only woman to win the RAW, SmackDown and tag team titles in the very same year.

Flair also praised the current women’s division and detailed their rise and evolution.

“I started in the ’70s, and I’ve seen the whole evolution,” he said. “And to see this thing come around, with [Charlotte] and Sasha and Becky and Bayley — well the three at first and then Bayley right afterward in the women’s division – when Stephanie walked out in Atlanta and said, ‘Ta-da!’ It really, really changed. That’s part of the history of our business.
