Dijon vs PSG build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:

Although there are still 12 games left to play in Ligue 1, Dijon’s time in the top flight appears to be running out. The club currently prop up the Ligue 1 table, nine points from safety having won just two games all season. They go into this game on a seven-game losing streak across all competitions, while it has been 10 since their last victory, over Nimes in their final game of 2020. Worryingly for Dijon ahead of this game, they are yet to win at home this season and are Ligue 1’s lowest scorers.

PSG also go into this game on a losing run, though it only stands at one. The Parisians’ hopes of retaining the title took another hit last weekend as they were beaten by Monaco, their second defeat in five league matches and their first at home under Pochettino. Away from home in the league their form is patchy, winning three, drawing two and losing one of their past six games. However, their last away match across any competition saw them leave the Nou Camp with a 4-1 win over Barcelona. And with Dijon handing out wins, there shouldn’t be any reason for PSG to worry this weekend.

  • Dijon (vs RC Lens): Racioppi; Boey, Coulibaly, Ecuele Manga, Panzo, Muzinga; Lautoa, Ndong; Marie; Chouiar, Kamara*.
  • PSG (vs Monaco): Navas; Florenzi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Kurzawa; Gueye, Paredes, Herrera; Kean, Icardi, Mbappe.

Dijon will be without on-loan Fulham striker Aboubakar Kamara following his red card against Lens last weekend, but Mama Balde and Frederic Sammaritano are free to return after suspensions of their own.

Angel Di Maria remains absent for PSG, as does Neymar and Juan Bernat.

Player to watch: Moise Kean (PSG)

Kylian Mbappe is the star at PSG but he has been complemented well this season by Moise Kean. The Italian didn’t really have the chance to impress at Everton, either snubbed by managers completely or given very little time on the pitch to show his capabilities. This led to some questioning his quality and a loan move to PSG at the end of the summer transfer window brought little reaction. But he’s been brilliant.

Only Mbappe has scored more Ligue 1 goals for PSG than Kean’s 10 so far this season, and the Italian has already beat his previous best goal tally for a single first-team season, having only managed six in the 2018/19 campaign for Juventus. Kean is playing with a confidence that looked to have left him at Goodison Park and is currently outperforming his xG in Ligue 1 by 1.87.

It’s not been restricted to the league either, with Kean on the scoresheet in that 4-1 win over Barcelona alongside Mbappe. He’s arguably playing the best football of his career so far and Kean is looking more likely to reach the high expectations placed on his shoulders than he had been at Everton.
