Australian Open third round free live stream (2/11/21): Watch Serena Williams and others, time ...

Serena Williams and several other tennis stars will try to advance in the Australian Open Thursday night and into Friday morning. The Tennis Channel and ESPN2 will have coverage of third round action starting at 7 p.m. ET on Feb. 11.

Williams, the 10th-ranked player in the women’s singles draw, will face 19-year-old Russian Anastasia Potapova in a match estimated to start around 9 p.m. ET.

The No. 1 men’s singles player, Novak Djokovic, will square off against Taylor Fritz in a match likely to start around 5 a.m. ET on Feb. 12. Fritz is the highest-ranked American player in the Australian Open field, but the 23-year-old has never made it past the third round of a Grand Slam singles event.

An upset of Djokovic on Thursday would arguably account for the greatest accomplishment of Fritz’s career. That’s easier written than accomplished, though.

Aside from Williams, several other women’s singles standouts will be in action Wednesday night. Third-ranked Naomi Osaka, a three-time Grand Slam winner, will play Ons Jabeur in a match expected to begin around 9:30 p.m. ET on Feb. 11. And second-ranked Simona Halep is scheduled to face Veronika Kudermetova in the night session at Rod Laver Arena just before Djockovic and Fritz take the court.
