WWE Monday Night RAW Results - (11/16/2020)

Show Opening

The RAW opening sequence plays as 8 o'clock hits and we head into the ThunderDome in Orlando, FL where we immediately hear the music for Drew McIntyre sound in the arena.

In-Ring - Drew Mcintyre

As Drew McIntyre makes his way into the ring in his black jeans and leather jacket with the pyro going off behind him, commentary notes that McIntyre visited SmackDown this past Friday to confront WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

We head into a quick video clip from SmackDown Last Friday where Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns were face to face in the ring. "I like you Drew, I always have. But I'm back now and ever since I came back, nobody knows who you are." McIntyre responds, "I'm the guy that's going to beat Randy Orton for the WWE Championship, and I'm the guy who's gonna show you who the true champion really is."

We then see a clip from later in the show during that same SmackDown episode where Roman Reigns informed his cousin Jey Uso he needed to "make him understand" in regards to McIntyre.

We return to the ring where McIntyre's music fades as he states, "Welcome everyone... to Monday Night RAW! This Sunday, is Survivor Series." McIntyre notes that Survivor Series is an American tradition and since he's lived in America over a 1/3 of his life, he likes Thanksgiving. McIntyre adds he's grown up for the most part his whole adult life in front of the WWE Universe. He's thankful for family and friends he can lean on. He's thankful for his fans in the WWE Universe. He's thankful for the ThunderDome, which has brought everyone closer together.

"In face, ThunderDome, who's ready to see Drew McIntyre Claymore Randy Orton's head off his body and retain the WWE Championship tonight?" McIntyre asks as the crowd pops. McIntyre smiles. McIntyre explains that he's also thankful for the doubters. The ones that don't believe in you and laugh at you. That's when you have to believe in yourself, you have to smile, and work harder, then throw it up (he holds up three fingers) and state, "Read between the lines".

Drew mentions how he paid Roman Reigns a little visit, and he realized Reigns didn't care about Orton, or McIntyre... Reigns only cares about himself. Drew says Reigns has put himself on a pedestal so high above everyone else, and has his head shoved up his own ass. The crowd pops! Drew says he will win the title tonight, Claymore Reigns back to Earth on Sunday and humble him. Orton interrupts from the big screen.

Randy Orton On The 'Tron

"Drew, Drew.... yea, I'm up here. I hear you out there saying what you're thankful for." Orton begins, "I wanna tell you what I'm thankful for. I'm thankful for being a 14 time WWE Champion." Orton then states he's also thankful that the fine he got for putting his hands on Adam Pearce didn't phase him. Orton notes he's been suspended and fined more than anyone in the WWE, and you wanna know why he's still here? "I am still here, and I am still the best, because I am... the... greatest, wrestler... Ever." Orton adds, "...and I am going to prove it again. I'm going to prove it tonight after beating you, STILL WWE Champion." The crowd boos and murmurs.

McIntyre responds, "You forgot something Randy..." McIntyre then goes on about how he's going to win the title away from Orton tonight, and then drops the mic to make his exit.

The Miz and John Morrison Interrupt

Before McIntyre can make it out of the arena to the backstage area, The Miz and John Morrison make their way out as their music sounds in the ThunderDome. They talk about it being November 16 and there being a new episode of Miz and Mrs. tonight, and McIntyre threatens them should they interfere in his match tonight. Miz talks about how he’s gonna hold the WWE Championship by the end of the night. The Miz continues by discussing how “the possibilities of change are endless.” McIntyre says the difference between him and Orton is that he’s not as patient, which leads Miz to make the mistake of getting in his face.

Miz and Morrison quickly back off as McIntyre smiles and states he could do with a warm-up. Miz tells Drew that he screwed up by handing out title matches like candy, but tonight whether he wins or loses, it’s gonna be the A-Lister laughing all the way to the bank.

Backstage - Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler

The RAW Women's Tag-Team duo of Jax and Baszler and struting the halls as they happen upon Lana in the backstage area. The two proceed to accost her over a match she got booked tonight. Lana states that she knows no matter how hard she tries, she’ll never prove to them that she belongs on the team, so she got a trios match set up tonight where she’s going to partner with them to prove her worth.

To the back with Lana, who takes part in a six woman tag match alongside Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler next. She requested the match, to the surprise of Jax and Baszler, wanting to show that she’s “all about team RAW.” Baszler remind Lana that her and Jax run RAW, and Jax demands that Lana not tag in.

Six-Woman Tag-Team Match-Up
Asuka, Dana Brooke, & Mandy Rose vs. Lana, Nia Jax, & Shayna Baszler

We then head back to the arena to get ready for this six woman tag-team match-up! Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax make their way out first as we head to commercial break.

Back live as Lana makes her entrance. Asuka and Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose follow. With all six woman at the ring, the referee signals for the bell. The bell rings and this match-up is officially underway. Surprisingly, Lana starts for her side. Though she is immediately tagged out by Shayna, that makes more sense. Baszler lands a Backbreaker on Brooke inside the ring. Brooke looks to get back to her feet, though she is then thrown to the outside as Shayna fakes a tag to Lana and instead tags Jax.

Jax sets up Brooke for a Samoan Drop, but Rose jumps from ringside to break up the attempt. Jax beats down Rose for her troubles, and holds her down as Shayna Stomps on her injured left shoulder on the ring steps as we head to commercial break once again!
