Gervonta Davis vs. Leo Santa Cruz live updates, results, highlights from the full card

Two titles and a chance for more lucrative bouts to come for the winner.

That's what's on the line Saturday night, when Gervonta Davis makes his pay-per-view debut and puts his WBA lightweight title up against Leo Santa Cruz's WBA junior lightweight strap in a winner takes all bout live from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The highly-anticipated fight pits Davis' thunderous power, which has produced 22 knockouts in 23 fights, against Santa Cruz's incessant volume punching.

All week long, the 25-year-old Davis has said that he needs to prove something to himself in order to truly become boxing's next pay-per-view king. A four-division world champion like Santa Cruz stands as Davis' toughest test to date and the Baltimore native knows it.

“Leo is going to come to fight and it’s just about me stepping up and doing what I do best," Davis said during the press conference earlier in the week. "You can see the potential in a fighter from the outside, but you have to see it actually come out in a fight to believe it. That’s the position I’m in. Everyone knows I’m great, I just have to show it."

Under the guidance of Floyd Mayweather Jr., Davis believes attaining the throne as the next pay-per-view cash cow is within arm's reach. Now, it's just about fighting it into fruition.

"I have to get the job done first," Davis said, "but also do everything that comes with being the next pay-per-view star."

Santa Cruz (37-1-1, 19 KOs) views firing off enough artillery to shut down "Tank" as a major test himself.

“I’m facing the best fighter in the division," Santa Cruz said. "If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best. I have to go against the best fighter. I wanted to challenge myself. I know this is a dangerous fight for me, but I want to test myself."

Will Davis' explosive power claim his biggest KO yet or will Santa Cruz's volume punching lead to the first loss for the rolling thunder that is "Tank?"
