Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers: How to watch, listen and live stream

MATCHUP

To prevent one loss from becoming the start of a losing streak, the Broncos will have to win a third straight game against the Chargers. The Broncos' rivals look a bit different from a year ago. Longtime foe Philip Rivers is no longer the starting quarterback; instead, dazzling rookie Justin Herbert has taken the reins, throwing for 12 touchdowns and just three interceptions in five games. He's got great receivers at his disposal with Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and tight end Hunter Henry.

Los Angeles' defense has been middling, statistically speaking, but it still has plenty of talent, especially in the front seven with defensive ends Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram. The secondary, which ranks 23rd in passing yards allowed per game, appears to have suffered significantly with former Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. and safety Derwin James on injured reserve. But the defense still succeeds in some of the toughest situations; it ranks ninth in fourth-down defense, eighth in red-zone defense and fifth in goal-to-go situations.

INJURY UPDATE

Six Broncos — running back Phillip Lindsay (concussion), wide receiver Tim Patrick (hamstring), outside linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu (quad), tight end Jake Butt (hamstring), tackle Demar Dotson (not injury related) and guard Austin Schlottmann (not injury related) — are listed as questionable. Only WR Diontae Spencer (shoulder) and FB/TE Andrew Beck (hamstring) were ruled out in the final injury report on Friday.

The Chargers ruled out starting right guard Trai Turner (groin) and listed three players as questionable: G Bryan Bulaga (back), T Storm Norton (knee) and QB Tyrod Taylor (ribs).

In addition, the Broncos placed G Graham Glasgow on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, and the Chargers did the same with G Ryan Groy.
