Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics FREE LIVE STREAM (9/19/20): How to watch NBA playoffs, time ...

The Miami Heat continue to shock the NBA world.

By all accounts, the Boston Celtics were the favorites to win the series against the Heat when the Eastern Conference Finals began. FiveThirtyEight even had the team pegged as the favorite to win the NBA Finals.

But the Celtics collapsed at halftime of Game 2. Boston had a 60-47 lead going into the break and laid an egg in the third quarter with Miami plowing ahead to a 84-77 lead by the end of the frame and Boston ultimately falling 106-101 in the series' second game.

The Celtics should have evened the series. They shot 50 percent from the field compared to 44.4 percent from Miami. They outrebounded the Heat 51-42. They made 19 free throws on 24 trips compared to Miami’s 12 in 14.

So what ended up being the difference? Sloppy play by the Celtics. Boston turned the ball over 20 times compared to just nine by Miami and the result was 26 points off turnovers for the Heat and just 10 by the Celtics.

Boston has the star power to come back certainly. Jayston Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart and Kemba Walker have all performed well in the series. The question just will be whether they can muster enough to come from behind a 2-0 series deficit over a Heat team that is clicking on all cylinders.
