WWE got some more bad news as there has been a COVID-19 outbreak within NXT.
Jon Alba reports that some people have gotten relaxed with mask wearing and people were still testing positive as of this weekend. This is obviously the last thing NXT needs right now as they are in a ratings battle with AEW Dynamite and they have an NXT TakeOver show coming up in less than 2 weeks.
Alba added that the belief is that one of the Performance Center coaches accidentally spread the virus.
It is not clear yet how widespread the outbreak is but apparently this has been an issue for a couple of weeks. We could know more as soon as Wednesday if certain names that were advertised for NXT are pulled from the show. Alba noted that the outbreak may have had a decent effect on creative plans.
We’ll pass along more information when more details come out.
I'm working on confirming more details, but @SeanRossSapp has verified what I heard, quite literally as I hit "tweet." He indicates several PC classes were canceled, and the outbreak happened over the past couple of weeks. #NXT #WWE
