Produced by Awesome Films, the 30-minute feature follows “Rutgers Rise,” which chronicled head coach Greg Schiano taking over and building the Scarlet Knights into a top-10 program during his first tenure “On the Banks.”

The premiere of “Rutgers Return” is part of a night of Rutgers football programming on BTN, which also includes its first re-airing of the 1992 classic versus Virginia Tech. Down 28-7 early and 49-44 with just 1:32 remaining, the Scarlet Knights pulled off the memorable 50-49 Homecoming victory on Halloween. Other games scheduled to broadcast include “Pandemonium in Piscataway,” the 2006 Texas Bowl, the 2007 win over USF, the 2011 Pinstripe Bowl and the 2014 Quick Lane Bowl.

Following time as a head coach in the NFL and three seasons as the defensive coordinator at Ohio State, winning two Big Ten titles, “Rutgers Return” looks at Schiano’s homecoming to Rutgers football. The second episode touches on the immediate momentum captured within the fan base, on recruiting trail and with public appearances following his hire in December. Furthermore, hear about how the program has continued to make progress during the pandemic and made a pledge to “#Chop4Change.”
