'Dodgeball Thunderdome' | How to watch, livestream TV channel, time

Social media star David Dobrik hosts a new competition series based on the most feared – and possibly revered – sport in gym class history: dodgeball. Dodgeball Thunderdome begins on Discovery tonight, Aug. 19, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. You can also stream it on FuboTV.

Competitors range from pro athletes to gym class zeroes who’ve never played a sport. They’ll face off in a specially constructed 13.8-acre arena, but there’s a twist in this game: Strength, stamina and the kind of sports prowess that got you picked first for teams in middle school won’t necessarily make you a Dodgeball Thunderdome winner. Strategy, quick thinking and drive are equally important.

Co-hosting alongside Dobrik will be E! News correspondent Erin Lim and former NFL wide receiver Andrew Hawkins. The series will culminate in a special tournament of champions that pits the winners of the previous eight episodes against each other for a grand prize of $25,000.

“I’m super excited to be working with Discovery on Dodgeball Thunderdome,” Dobrik said in a statement. “Dodgeball was always everyone’s favorite game in gym class and hosting this show brings back many sweaty memories of dominating in Vernon Hills.”

“Fun is at the heart of this show and now more than ever is the time for totally relatable, laugh-out-loud viewing experiences for the entire family. The competition is hilariously driven by Dobrik’s infectious energy, Lim’s strong on-camera presentation, and Hawkins’ expert play-by-play skills,” EVP Scott Lewers said in a statement.
