Brock Lesnar free agent - Did 'The Beast Incarnate' leave WWE?

Brock Lesnar is now reportedly a free agent after his last contract with the WWE expired. The news was broken by PWInsider. This comes after Brock Lesnar’s merchandise was removed from WWEShop.

According to the PWInsider report, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ and WWE are working on a new deal but the two sides have hit an impasse:

While the two sides have been working on a new deal, they have hit an impasse and have paused discussions.  This leaves Lesnar on the open market where he could, if he desires, field offers from outside WWE, whether it be AEW or other wrestling promotions, UFC, or even outside endeavors beyond combat sports.

Mike Johnson added that this wasn’t uncommon a situation for Brock Lesnar but this could be his longest hiatus from WWE. Lesnar made his last appearance at WrestleMania 36, where he lost the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre.

Are there any realistic alternatives for Brock Lesnar free agent?

Although Brock Lesnar is technically free to sign with AEW and other wrestling promotions, realistically it is very unlikely that he signs with any of themm.

Although the UFC is on paper a viable option, at the age of 43, a return to the Octagon seems unlikely.

In my opinion, Lesnar will eventually return to WWE after getting the contract he wants. He’s one of the smartest negotiators in wrestling and Vince McMahon doesn’t want to risk him going anywhere else.

Why WWE may not be in a hurry to re-sign ‘The Beast Incarnate’?

WWE are not in a hurry to sign Brock Lesnar because they are confident of re-signing ‘The Beast Incarnate’. There are also currently no plans to use Lesnar this year so WWE may feel like they have time to do a deal.

We will have more updates on the situation when available.
